I believe that most new crossdressers have a lot of questions. I certainly did. I found Crossdressers.com is a valuable resource for answering some of these questions. Here are, for example, some typical questions many new crossdressers have:
- Why am I interested in crossdressing?
- How do I choose the proper clothes to wear?
- Where is a good site for learning how to apply makeup?
- I wonder whether there are others who can relate to a recent event I’ve had?
- How have other crossdressers dealt with coming out to others?
The Crossdressers.com Forums
On the Internet, communities use forums to have back-and-forth conversations. Responses are not instantaneous like a chat room, but it allows people to read and respond when they have time to do so.
Crossdressers.com has forums that span the full transgender spectrum. By far the most popular is the Male to Female Crossdressing Forum. In addition, there are forums for transsexuals, female-to-male crossdressers, and gender non-binary people.
Some of the forums are available for reading by the public. However, if you want to engage fully, you must register as a user. To be able to view more member-only forums, you need to make at least 10 posts. Doing this also enables the ability to post pictures.
Crossdressers.com moderates the forums to make sure that people remain respectful of each other. This keeps the atmosphere one of helpfulness and encouragement and not harassment.
It is this positive attitude that makes me appreciate this forum. However, you can also count upon opinions that “tell it like it is”. Sometimes people want opinions on difficult subjects, so you can expect truthful, not sugar-coated, answers.
Asking Questions, Getting Answers
By becoming a member of Crossdressers.com, you can ask questions about any topic. On a recent trip, I was trying to decide whether to dress en femme during the drive. My concern was about what would happen to my makeup after a long day of driving. My beard grows vigorously during the day, and I was sure that the stubble would be visible. I decided to ask about it.
After carefully considering the answers, I decided to buy a battery-powered shaver. I could shave before reaching my destination, then touch up the makeup. Eventually I decided not to travel en femme (I got cold feet), but I did appreciate the helpfulness I received from the community.
Crossdressers.com: A Valuable Resource
Started in 2004, Crossdressers.com has been a terrific resource for crossdressers and other transgendered people. It is one of the websites I use the most. If you need help or just want to do some interesting reading, be sure to check it out if you haven’t already!

I was looking at your site and have a resource for your (for the So California viewers / visitors). There is a shoe store, located in Westminster California.
The store is called The Funky Pair. They carry lingerie, hosiery, and shoes; as well as other items. They carry large sized shoes (I wear a guys 15 and they had shoes which I could wear).
They are crossdresser friendly and make you feel very comfortable.
